PugPie (“we”, “us”) is a personal media library. This policy describes how we handle your information.
This site is owned and operated by Thirteen Digital, LLC.
Account information. When you register, we collect your name, email address, and password (stored hashed). You may also set a timezone, enable two-factor authentication, or register passkeys.
Your content. We store images and videos you upload, along with metadata you add (names, descriptions, tags) and actions you take (likes, views, downloads).
Technical data. We keep session data (including IP address and browser user agent) to keep you signed in. If you use optional AI image classification, we log API usage such as status, timing, and token counts.
We use your data to operate the service: authenticate you, store and display your library, search your items, enforce storage quotas, send account emails (such as verification), and provide optional features like AI-assisted tagging.
We use third parties to run PugPie. They process data only as needed to provide their service:
- DigitalOcean Spaces — file storage
- Bunny.net — video encoding and streaming
- Algolia — search indexing (item metadata, not file contents)
- Google (Gemini) — optional AI classification; sends an image or video thumbnail when you request it
- Google (Sign-In) — authentication; receives your name, email, and profile info when you choose to sign in with Google
- Cloudflare Turnstile — optional bot protection on sign-in and registration
- Email provider — transactional email
Your browser may also request Gravatar avatar images using a hash of your email address; that request goes directly to Gravatar.
We use essential cookies and session storage to maintain your login and preferences (such as appearance settings).
We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account in Settings; this permanently deletes your account and associated library data.
PugPie is not intended for users under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. We will revise the “Last updated” date when we do.
